Award-winning singer Davido has announced that his David Adeleke Foundation has successfully supported over 500 orphanages this year. This philanthropic effort fulfills his pledge made on his 32nd birthday in 2024 to donate N300 million to orphanages and charities dedicated to helping young people avoid drug abuse and addiction.
On his birthday, Davido had declared, “Once again, my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction. This year, it’s ₦300m. Details to follow soon.”
Providing an update, Davido took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the foundation’s significant impact, stating, “My foundation was able to help over 500 motherless babies’ homes this year… we go again next year!”
His ongoing philanthropic endeavors continue to make a substantial impact, and Davido has pledged to sustain his charity work in the years to come.
