Yamal Confident Barcelona Will Win Champions League

 

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal believes his team are the frontrunners to lift this season’s UEFA Champions League trophy. 

 Speaking to SPORT, the 17-year-old expressed confidence in Hansi Flick’s squad, highlighting their strong performances in Europe’s top competition. “We are the favorites for the Champions League,” Yamal stated. “At the end of the group stage, I said Liverpool were the favorites because they finished first. Now that they are eliminated, it’s us.” 

 Barcelona have suffered just one defeat in the tournament—a 2-1 loss to Monaco in their opening match. They recovered to finish second in the league phase behind Liverpool before eliminating Benfica 4-1 on aggregate in the round of 16. 

 The Catalan giants are also in contention for the La Liga title, currently level on 60 points with Real Madrid but with a game in hand.
