The Neighborhood Care Well Foundation has empowered over 30,000 children and at least 7,000 families across Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers states over the past 25 years.
The foundation’s Executive Director, Dr. Victoria Emah-Emah, disclosed this on Monday in Calabar during an event marking its 25th anniversary, themed “Celebrating 25 Years of Helping People and Changing Lives.”
She stated, “Over the last 25 years, more than 30,000 children have benefitted from our educational, health, shelter, and vocational skills programmes. We have also supported over 5,000 households with mini grants and income training, impacting about 7,000 families.”
Dr. Emah-Emah reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to advocating for the rights of women, children, and youths in vulnerable communities. She also expressed gratitude to partners who have provided capacity training and resources to drive the foundation’s initiatives.
As a women-focused, non-profit organisation, the foundation remains dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls by 50% through social justice and strategic leadership.
