Tinubu Departs for France on Two-Week Working Visit

President Bola Tinubu left Nigeria on Wednesday for a two-week working visit to Paris, France.

According to a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will use the visit to evaluate his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones.

The statement, titled “President Tinubu to Embark on Working Visit to Paris,” revealed that the President will also review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement read.

It highlighted recent economic strides, noting that the Central Bank of Nigeria has reported a significant increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion—up from $3.99 billion in 2023—reflecting the administration’s fiscal reforms.

While in France, Tinubu will remain actively engaged with his team and continue overseeing governance.

“He will return to Nigeria in about a fortnight,” the statement concluded.
