Afrobeats singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has revealed that he was once in a serious relationship with Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo, and they nearly got married before parting ways.
Kcee made the revelation during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by Temisan Emmanuel, which began trending on Saturday. Reflecting on his early rise to fame, the “Limpopo” crooner spoke about how his romance with the actress attracted major media attention at the time.
“My scandals were before social media became rampant,” he said. “I was just a young boy dating one actress. Me and actresses were always headlining the papers. I loved actresses back then. Who wouldn’t?”
Kcee admitted that while he had dated several actresses, his relationship with Ebube Nwagbo stood out for its public exposure.
“I can’t name all the actresses I’ve dated, but I will mention that our relationship was everywhere—Ebube Nwagbo. We were always on the front covers of newspapers. We were close to getting married before whatever happened, happened,” he shared.
Kcee has since settled down and is now married to his wife, Ijeoma, with whom he has two children.
Ebube Nwagbo, who remains single, has previously been linked romantically to notable figures including Ogbonna Nwankwo, Emmanuel Emenike, and Ray Emordi.
